Blood in the Alley Theatre Company Presents:
End of Day
Written by Samuel Beckett
Performed by Denis Conway
Directed by Conall Morrison
‘End of Day’ is a one-man show taken from ‘Beginning to End’ comprising of excerpts from Beckett’s fiction, plays and poetry. Originally devised by Jack Mac Gowran with assistance from Beckett and first performed for the BBC programme, ‘Monitor,’ in 1965. MacGowran subsequently performed the show around the world. “People find Beckett morose,” he once said, “I find him
so funny.”
This new production was originally commissioned by ‘Happy Days Enniskillen International Beckett Festival 2016’ and provides audiences a rare opportunity to enjoy, in one show, some of Beckett’s most profound and entertaining work.
