GARRY:
“I’m thirty four, boy. Me young fella o’ fourteen don’t have to be home til twelve o’clock tonight an I’m in for ten??
Dare is someting sariously wrong wit da system dare like.”

DARREN:
“I’m twenty two an’ me dog is out later.”

Garry and Darren are already on curfew for a couple of dodgy jobs gone wrong. They’re determined to go straight. Sort of. But the young fella needs €360 for the school trip to Old Trafford on Saturday week and Darren knows a handy post office just a few miles outta town…

Written by Cork Evening Echo court reporter Liam Heylin, Love Peace and Robbery is inspired by real-life interviews conducted with inmates of Cork Prison, struggling to break the cycle of petty crime and imprisonment.
